Frequently Asked Questions

Why Toothcrab?

During a period of time when I felt especially creative, I had a situation arise that took several emergency visits to the dentist, and ultimately resulted in significant pain, permanent nerve damage in my face, and a tooth that had to be yanked. In a hazy, post-procedure state of mind, I started drawing broken teeth over and over again, leading to a vaguely personified, mischievous little molar figure that walked around my drawings. This drawing eventually turned into a combo tooth/crab (fiddler crab, to be exact), thus: toothcrab.

What kind of pills are those?

Pills featured in my artwork represent prescription and OTC medications that I take/have taken to support me in dealing with chronic pain, mental wellness, and other health challenges. Some of the appearances are exactly what they look like, and others are a little more creative.

Can I commission something?

I do take on commissions from time to time. However, after a long stretch of doing commissioned pieces non-stop, I am taking a break to focus on my own creativity. I will not be taking on any custom pieces for a while, but will update this text when that changes.
