These tiny 2” x 2” paintings were born simply from a desire to test-drive some new art materials, though they quickly became a series of fridge magnets documenting places I see while out for walks. However, unlike kitschy holiday memorabilia commemorating beautiful and noteworthy travel destinations, these magnets capture derelict, possibly once-treasured homes littered throughout my inner city neighbourhood. Some of these houses have been torn down, some have been renovated, and some simply still exist.
